Invitation

Dear Colleagues

It is a pleasure to announce the 17th Cardiology Update Course to be held in Davos, Switzerland from 12-16 February 2007. This five-day programme offers a comprehensive update of major topics in cardiology today presented by a distinguished international teaching faculty.

The goal of Cardiology Update is to provide a high level educational programme and disseminate the latest knowledge about advances in prevention, diagnosis, treatment and interventions in cardiovascular disease. The scientific programme covers the broad spectrum of a cardiologist with a perspective on the needs of the practising clinician including topics like atherosclerosis and its risk factors, coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, revascularisation strategies, arrhythmias, heart failure as well as the latest progress in stem cell therapy.

Cardiology Update is designed for clinicians specialised in cardiology, internal and general medicine. Besides the traditional state of the art lectures a strong emphasis is placed on interactive education, including computer-assisted case presentations and clinical decision seminars, video life cases, meet the expert sessions and poster sessions. The spirit of the course is a stimulating working and learning environment combined with a variety of informal events and opportunities for direct interactions between faculty members and participants.

We are looking forward to welcoming you at the next Cardiology Update. Davos is a famous Swiss mountain resort surrounded by a splendid landscape which offers all kinds of winter sports and represents the ideal background for a fruitful meeting.
